Asalaamu Alaikum, or Peace Be Upon You! Welcome to our small community students. We’re a diverse mix of students, coming from different backgrounds, involved in different areas of campus life, and having different ideas of what it means to be Muslim. Our diversity gives us internal strength from where we continue to grow, but our size can make being recognized by administration more difficult. Navigating the spiritual, cultural, and political facets of being a Muslim in college can be challenging enough, and our small numbers and the lack of a Muslim faculty advisor or chaplain figure adds to the confusion, especially after tragedies like the Chapel Hill shootings, or the attacks on Charlie Hebdo. But know that there is a community at WashU, and we’re here to support you however we can!

- The WUrld Fusion station in Bear’s Den serves Halal food in the evenings.
Prayer Spaces
- Friday Congregational (Jummah) Prayers are held weekly throughout fall and spring semesters every Friday at 1:15pm in the Muslim Prayer Space located in the basement of Lopata House in the Village. In addition, the Serenity Room in Olin Library and the MSA/Ashoka/Mixed/AMC Suite in the Women’s Building have prayer rugs available for those who need to pray on main campus.
